2007, I think. Walk-on...is essentially extra scholarship as tuition is free for coaches' kids (at least it used to be).

The free tuition part is true.
And I think he's a senior this year, although I'm not sure.

Maybe he is a junior at HP but he's already met the graduation requirements so he can leave high school early.

There is nothing about him in Texas Football. What is his size? How much did he play at HP? Has anyone seen him play? If so, what are your impressions?

I've heard for a couple of years now that he's a very good deep-snapper, although I have no idea how big he is (although he's been bigger than former deep snapper Derrice Randle for about 3 years now).

There is only one job on the football field more thankless and pressure-filled than Deep Snapper, and that is Coach's Son Deep Snapper. Man, I sure hope this kid never screws up.
