This one stings. It seems like Texas has unlimited roster space and someone commits there every day

Shaka can recruit as well as anyone, but coaching, not so much.

In the meantime....not sure any Texas fans even know based on their message board. One thing is for sure, he didn't pick based off fanbase.

Seems he wants to play for a slumping program. Maybe he fell in love with Austin.
Re: Gerald Liddell
Austin is a cool town and with lots of young people.
I'm sure the BBALL recruitment centered on " We've got the #2 prospect coming in so there will be NBA scouts at every game and many practices. You will be noticed. Plus, Austin is tons of fun. Enjoy your 1-2 years and play in front of NBA scouts.

Why would any top player go to a perpetually sanctioned team playing in a third tier rinky-dink conference?
A long tradition of existence.

Re: Gerald Liddell
I think the point GD is trying to make is that the Big XII is a completely second rate conference, replete with its own baggage. He may be onto something here. You're right GD, we can't compete with some of the stuff your conference mates pull. I don't think I need to rundown the list. It's well documented. As for the AAC, I'll take your comment under advisement. Your insight is completely forgettable.smusic 00 wrote:What are the first two tiers of conferences? Re: Gerald Liddell
Well we have about ten top players who would be more than happy to answer that. A bigger mystery might be why anyone would go to a school that is past its glory in all major sports, - a team that is at the bottom of the worst "P-5". Seems like it would be better to go to the top team in a conference who produces more national champions than the big 12 in recent history.geezerdonk wrote:Why would any top player go to a perpetually sanctioned team playing in a third tier rinky-dink conference?
