As mentioned free MBA and he petitioned for the extra year. I remember reading an article or two when he was visiting schools where he told them he will actually have two years to play instead of one so it would seem he is interested in having two years to play. Unless he gets hurt again or something like that I would expect to have him back next season like the staff does.

If he gets hurt this year he would definitely come back to try to have a good year. What sense would it make to get hurt this year and go pro. None. If he has a very good year then he should declare to go pro to get a free pro evaluation and then determine whether to stay in the draft. If he has an average to below average year he could come back and try to improve his stock for the NzBA or oversees.

I think Agau will be a better defensive presence for us than Ben was last year down low. He's bigger with a longer wingspan and had better rebounding/blocked shot numbers (if you account for minutes played) last year against arguably better competition in the Big East.

I will wait and see on this until he plays 25-30mins/ game, but he definitely has the potential to be a real quality player for us particularly on the defensive end and on the glass. If his numbers from last year translate out to 30 mins per game we will be in real good shape. So excited we get him for two seasons, because I expect he will improve alot over that time.

@rebel, on paper I 100% agree with you and that applies to every player. But in reality, Agau isn't going to the NBA after this season. He is a 6'8 forward who is best as a stretch 5. He has plenty of work to do on his offensive game and has never really put together a full season of quality basketball. He isn't the same type of player Semi was even though both have high upside.

If he has a big year this year and next year he could get some NBA looks and at worst for sure play overseas, if he wanted, like MK, Ben and Yanick. And I meant a serious injury, he would likely come back if he got hurt, but sometimes people decide they have had enough after 2-3 major injuries.

This is big. He's a solid offensive player and big time defensive player. We'll need him.

I'm intrigued to see what he can do offensively- I saw he took a couple 3's in the Canadian scrimmages. He shot 85% from the FT line last year at G'town so he apparently has some kind of stroke.

My biggest concern is his knees- can they hold up?
