Re: OFFICIAL: SMU vs. SFA Game Thread
This feed play-by-play is amazing...keep it coming guys.
This game feels good but 112 passing yards 9/19 completion, Sutton with only 22 yards receiving...yeah, not sure I feel like we ticked off all the boxes despite the "blowout."

My stream is now interesting. The video is real time and the voice is a good 20 seconds behind.

Some down-the-depth chart players seeing action at this point for SMU.

Nice TD pass, catch and run. Caught SFA loading up for the run.

Now my stream is running at least 30 second ahead of the voice. Sometimes the voice is 2 plays behind the video.

58/14 SMU. Lots of kids saw action and a ton of matters to address by the staff. Good news is there is speed, athleticism, some depth and prospects for some very good future performances.
Re: OFFICIAL: SMU vs. SFA Game Thread
The third team WR and 4/5th team RBs have more speed than the starters in June's last year.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

Nice won. Definitely nice to see for once we have vastly superior atheletes. And great taht a bunch of kids got some game time. I do beleive we have more talent and depth than we have had in a long time. Not Alabama level but much better than in the past.
Re: OFFICIAL: SMU vs. SFA Game Thread
Some thoughts:
- Should I be concerned that this thread is only 7 pages? Fans? Hello???
- Jordan Wyatt is a hero. 2 TDs!
- Gotta get the ball to Sutton.
- Braeden and Ke'Mon looked great. Xavier Jones still doesn't look 100%.
- Hicks was meh at 9/19.
- Quinn is amazing as a receiver but it's doesn't look like he's very quick returning punts.
- We still have no burners. I miss Aldrick.
- Josh Williams misses a PAT though that is rare. Is he really better than Robledo?
- Peavey sucks in practice? Don't care. 3/3 110yds 1TD.

Re: OFFICIAL: SMU vs. SFA Game Thread
- I thought Hicks was poor. Most of his incompletions were just bad passes. If Peavey can be accurate in the games it is time for him to start.
- Gillins was exactly what I observed in practice - he has a really good arm, but his throws are straight. No arc. So if there is a LB he has to throw over, he will get picked.
- DJ's lack of touch eliminates his deep ball, and will eliminate Sutton. SO I think Peavey is next in line to start and wouldn't be surprised to see him get the nod against Wisconsin.
- OL looked good, and played a ton of depth. Howerton was really impressive I thought when he came into the game at center. We won't miss a beat when Brown graduates.
- DL was fantastic. Played a ton of players there. Ton of pressure even with Gary, Lawler, and Mixon playing limited snaps.
- Williams was very good at Will, as was Mitchel at star. Importantly, Robinson looked great as a true freshman, and so did 9. Those guys will play a lot as the season goes along.
- Wyatt was obviously very good, but I was impressed with the safety play. Onu specifically has taken a leadership role out there. McQueen will be very good. Clemons looked big and fast and athletic.
- Two bad kickoff returns, but the rest of the return game we actually defended well. Better than last year, and I expect to see improvement as the season moves forward.
- Punting - wow what an improvement. 50 yard punts that have to be fair caught because the return has players in their face. Night and day.
- The FG was very good - 40 yarder that he hit with barely any effort that went in by a mile. Disappointed with the EP miss as well as a couple of kick offs being low trajectory.
All in all, a very good result, and nice to see us run out in style and take the foot off the gas. Could have been a much bigger score. And a massive improvement over the Liberty game last season.

Peavy easily outclassed Hicks, and did it without the 1st string line I think.
Long live Inez Perez!

I think this staff has an agenda against Peavy or for Gillins unless they are hiding Raef as a secret
