Let's keep it real. Patterson has had plenty of opportunities to leave. TCU put in the work at a time we could/should have been doing the same, but our administration stuck their heads in the sand. SMU and Houston and many of our AAC bretheren are in the same boat of having done too little too late. We can only hope to start winning these opportunity games against P5 schools and that we can hang onto Chad, but the way A&M is looking, a win against TCU and SMU's going on to a dream season may well be the end of the Chad Morris era at SMU.

Wasn't New Mexico an upgrade back when Dave Bliss left?

I like that we get them in between Arkansas and Oklahoma State, but their D looked salty yesterday

I apologize to you and SoCal for not specifying "Football" coach.

I think it is completely real to say he has missed opportunities because he is an [deleted]. Nothing very controversial about that. It's obvious.

obvious to who? There's no doubt he could have had about 6-8 jobs if he wanted them

I know what to expect from TCU; they will be tough. I'm less certain what to expect from SMU. This is the first big test this season.

Patterson could have gone to several places. He is a rarity in that he likes where he is and he is good enough to command a good salary.

Yeah and the old school money hooked him up with investments that far out way a mill here of a mill there (in my best scar face voice ) Coach Patterson is ranked the number 2 most powerful college football coach And that was before he was making 5.1 million dollars a year.

yeah but according to many we'd be favored without Hicks
