"2-0"Before the flamers even start, let me clarify: I'm VERY happy that we are 2-0 and are 4 wins away from bowl eligibility. We are DEFINITELY on the rise. No doubt about that whatsoever.
BUT, we are 2-0 for the first time in a long time because we played SFA and UNT for the first 2 games. Usually, we would have played Baylor or TTU or aTm or someone much better and be 1-1 or something like that. This team would be the same. Do I still think we make a bowl game? yes. Am I very excited about this program? yes. But our team can NOT start getting full of themselves. I hope our coaches keep them level headed. Some stats: We gave up 493 yards to North Texas. We gave up 3 sacks and SEVEN tackles for loss, and 7 QB hurries. To North Texas. We only gained 99 yards on the ground (47 from one play). Against North Texas. If our OL plays this way against TCU, their defense will have a field day and it will get ugly fast. We need to protect our QB and get at least a LITTLE bit of a ground game going because I think we can throw on them of course and we have the talent and depth to hang with them and not have a blow out on the books for once in a while (of course, I want a win but it would be a shame if the final score shows a blowout because we are better than that). Pony up!
Re: "2-0"
We knew they weren't super bowl material. ..
Re: "2-0"
Exactly. UNT was better than SFA by a mile. SMU still hung 50+ points on them. As for the defense, most of UNT's points came against the young guys and/or 2nd/3rd team after the game was pretty much over. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: "2-0"ponyboy is right. Saturday will tell us a lot about where we really are. This is a huge game for the program.

Re: "2-0"I am gonna enjoy being 2-0 for this week and yes wish we had played Baylor as we would have still been 2-0 and beaten a Big XII school and regional rival.
Saturday will be a good measuring stick and I think it will be a close game for most of it. TCU still has better talent across the board and more depth.....but I think both offensively and defensively we will have a good game plan for them. I think their O is very suspect with Kenny Thrill as the QB and if we can get to him early with a few hits he will end up making errant throws. Let's see what this Saturday brings, but I feel better about our football team more than any time since 2012. #Beat Clemson
Re: "2-0"
We could have been 2-0 against any of those teams and had some real buzz going right now. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security
