What's happened to Hopkins, did he play?

Late in the game I think he was playing Center-he was leftover former walkon at Oregon St who only played a little bit when they had a bunch of injuries. I really think his expected contribution was overblown

I think it's all about how defenses want to play us. CM mentioned tonight he thought littrell had spent significant time preparing to deal with our run game. Most teams are going to have to make that choice. SFA went after the pass, unt wanted to see if Hicks could beat them. Neither worked.

CM also mentioned that the TCU d set up very well against Arkansas. Said TCU wants you to try and run straight at them. I'm guessing that means we will try and scheme differently than Ark.

While I still think Hicks will get the start and most of the reps:
- Did CM limit Gillins in the first two games because he didn't want TCU coaches to get much film on him?
- Did CM play Gillins and/or Peavey enough to force TCU coaches to spend time game planning for 2-3 different QBs?

I definitely overrated him, that's for sure. I thought he'd come in and lock down that tackle spot opposite Pursley. But, now having watched him play in these 2 games, he just looks super soft to me. Such a big dude, it's just a shame.

If Morris really wants to make a splash this year - either for himself or SMU (both really of course), THIS is the game to do it in. The only other opportunity would be Houston. Beat TCU and Houston and win a bowl game? Now THAT's a damn fine season you can promote the hell out of. I hope he's super extra motivated to get the team ready for this one.

Kinda wish we would roll out the delayed handoff or shovel pass we did so much with Zach Line. I realize different coaching staff, scheme, etc. But rushing yards will be hard to come by with traditional formations against their D.

We have not shown a lot of the playbook so far. I am ready for them to open it up a little more.
