Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?the administration ruined the blvd for the greeks..hence less students at the game. Ghost town up there compared to what it used to be. Limiting how much beer fraternities can distribute. I saw a grand total of 3 cases at one tent. Frank the tank alone would take down 1 case.
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?
Nobody wants to see us play $h!t teams either
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?I also thought student attendance was good. Was told by a student that he and a ton of his friends went to the end zone lawn as it's not as hot.
Pony^, sad to hear about north end of Blvd. I'm at south end and didn't see. I thought a lot of concessions were made and it was going to be game on.
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?
3 beers per member that is 21 or older at the fraternity tents. Peruna is my mascot!

Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?
There's always an excuse. It's either a [deleted] team and no one wants to go, or it's a good team and no one wants to see SMU get beat down. Tell us why then the kids show up to watch SMU play basketball teams from the 2 bid mid major American Athletic Conference?
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?I walked all the way to Dallas Hall around 5:15 p.m., I would guess only 15% of the students I saw up there partying, made it into the stadium. There were an enormous amount of students on the boulevard Saturday.
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?
Can they just drink 3 of these?
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?Good news, still have 360 days until their fans start showing up and predicting another UNT win
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state? Some of yall are just determined to be grumpy - its kind of sad.
The Blvd is in full swing. No idea how anyone thinks it is dead. the kids have figured out a work around apparently cause it is not an issue. Nobody in America has more than about a third to half of their students at games - (well maybe ND and the aggies have more - but that's about it). 2k is about how many we had - and that is a third. No complaints. If we want more students - we need to tell Turner and our board to let the school get bigger. We need at least 8k to stay relevant.
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?Baylor and TCU have had much higher student attendance percentage in recent year. Baylor has 9,000 student attendance allotment and according to their website 9,000 were distributed. I've seen TCU's numbers in recent year's and they had the highest student attendance percentage in Texas
Did you Know? •The student ticket allotment can seat 70% of Baylor students. Most schools in the Big 12 only seat 25% of students. •The 2016 average attendance was 9,000 students per game. The allotment at McLane Stadium with standing room only ticket included is 9,000. •The student section, consuming the entire lower concourse from goal line to goal line, is one of the best seating locations in the conference. Ticket Availability The student section consists of 2,800 Baylor Line tickets, 5,200 general student tickets, and 1,000 standing room only tickets. Guest tickets will not be available for purchase due to space restrictions http://www.baylor.edu/students/gameday/ ... ?id=867021 "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state?Baylor students really don't have anything else to do. They don't drink and have no parties to attend
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state? And there is no way in hell 9k Baylor kids go to those games. Ive been there - they turn out well (see above) but not 9k.
Re: The Big Rival north Texas state? They lose to Dukie tomorrow and Baylor students will find plenty of other things to do on Saturday afternoons.
