And if the plat is approved Doak Walker Way in one of my subdivisions. Not supposed to name them after people but the girl at Harris County had no clue what I was talking about.

*LOL* She's probably a UofH grad. ;) Where is the subdivision in Harris County? I used to live in Spring.
I believe it has been discussed on this board in the past that James was totally clean in the situation that led to the DP.
You have to be kidding me.. You really think we didn't give Craig James any money.. Please...
If you have read A Payroll to Meet you would know that luckily his hs sweetheart who was older went to smu and thats how we ultimately got his committment..
But if you really think that we didn't give him $$$, you are NAIVE.

I do not know for a fact one way or the other. All I was saying was I recall several on this board, who claimed first hand knowledge of the facts, indicated that James was clean. I am also not inclined to paint every high profile player who played during the Pony Express days as guilty of taking money or other incentives just because they were in the same locker room as the ones who did.

You call me naive because I do not paint with a broad brush. My very extensive first hand experience is that most people when given the choice choose to act ethically and responsibly even if others around them are not.

have you never followed politics? People only act ethically and responsibly when they think they are being watched
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

On a side note, I am sure Craig James has no ill feelings towards SMU, and in fact still loves the school. Yes, his son will not be attending here, but he did send his daughter, who I believe is a current junior or senior. So stop knocking the guy, I will bet that if we start winning you will see more alumni like James out supporting the team. This should be the end of this discussion.

All I know is what he did one Saturday afternoon in Austin against the no. 3-4 rated horns, as a sophmore.

How can you rip on Craig James? He is very good looking and he played in the Super Bowl!

It's not like SMU has treated him well over the years.

Of course, it would be nice if he supported us a little more but he certainly isn't honor bound to send his son to SMU.

From the DMN Recruiting blog. Can't blame anyone for supporting his flesh-and-blood, but still, it hurts a little to read this:

He's a Red Raider now

ABC college football broadcaster and former SMU great Craig James was a proud papa dressed up in Texas Tech Red Raider garb during his son's signing ceremony at Celina. His son, wide receiver Adam, signed with the Red Raiders in Celina's library. James loaded up on Tech gear Tuesday at Frisco's Stonebriar Mall. A clerk told him: "I thought you were for SMU." James said: "I will always love SMU, but I'm a Red Raider now."
