Saw this, we better find a way to get Courtland some balls and let him use and abuse this secondary.

TRIVIA: One Texan on that UCONN squad. Other wise the are a few from places as far away as MA, NH, NJ, and NY but no one from America.
GO PONIES!
QUESTION & NO GOOD PLACE TO ASK: What has happened to Harry0569 who I am used to seeing as the originator of the game threads? Hope I haven't missed anything and sincere apologies if anything bad.
Re: UConn's Depth Chart Reveals Plenty Of Changes Prior to S
Remember when RGIII had some comments about kids from those far away countries like PA, MA & NJ
"I remember their defense being really good," Griffin said. "They played hard. They hit hard. I'd have to say they were one of the most physical defenses we played all year. I don't know where I'd rank them in the Big 12 with OU [Oklahoma] and Texas but it wouldn't be at the bottom that's for sure because they hit just as hard as those teams do"

Actually I was trying to make a funny about the geographical region and not a comment on the ability of the players.
I can remember the All Star games between TX (coached by Bobby Lane IIRC) and PA before the NCAA, in its wisdom, stopped that sort of activity.
I saw Jim Duggan play once and of course Hacksaw's post football career has been mentioned several times on this board. Hope I'm remembering the following correctly although the names escape me. Didn't Hayden Fry have two starting linemen from PA? There was the starting FB from near (or part of) Pony Express days from Red Bank, NJ.
When I was young MI, OH, and PA were regarded as producing lots of good players and they still are given the changes in population and economics and all. I'd surely consider a good prospect from any of those places and others and that may happen if the program continues to improve.
Having said that last I think that HCCH has the right idea in trying hard to recruit from DFW and TX rather than sitting back and taking kids who initiated the contact from here there and elsewhere.
Go Ponies.

Lots of changes in the secondary for UConn against SMU. Their top receiver Mayala is out with an injury.

UCONN will start 7 freshman AND
UCONN's top 2 OLM in career starts are out for SMU
Pretty tough to overcome those facts. We need to stomp on them early
