lost in all the recruiting/signing day hoopla is the fact SMU plays a game at Tulane that ranks pretty close to a "must" win if we are going to make a run at the upper tier of CUSA
Let's see which SMU team shows up tonite. These guys appear to be improving game after game. Let's hope that trend continues

pretty ugly 1st half. can't put back a rebound/layup
gotta love Bamba's 8 boards and 2 blocks, but those 4 TOs were a big part of that 4/10 assist/turnover ratio

Hopkins turns it over again...two straight games with a critical late TO. One last chance down 59-56

Mustangs lose 59-56....hard to come back from 16 down on the road
36% from the floor shooting
how in the world is this team going to score next year??

Another frustrating road loss. Once again, Turnovers and free throw shooting down the stretch. I think Pearson is the only one that had a 2-2 trip down the stretch. Of course, he also missed the front end of a 1 and 1 just a bit before.
Great effort by the mustangs to shake off a bad first half and get back in it, but they have to cut those turnovers down.
Also, while I don't fault Hopkins, once again we would be no where close without him, he has got to understand all 5 Tulane guys are going to key on him those last two trips of the game, he has got to dish that ball and hope someone can knock down an open shot which has, in theory, slightly better odds than him taking one with 4 guys draped on him.

We came out so sluggish to start the game, you can't do that on the road and expect to win games.
I miss Troy Matthews.

One has to start thinking if Tubbs can get it done. These are the game we need to win to show improvement and progress to make it to the next level. Another average season at best as I predicted long before the season started.
