Gillens is not ready to play QB. Hicks is our best option at this point.

Hicks' stats were really good today. He is definitely our best option.

4 TDs and No turnovers and you guys are still beating on Hicks. Its getting old. The guy played fine-hit plenty of 3rd down passes too to keep the chains moving. Barely missed on two long balls that I thought could have been caught. If the Defense could get off the field SMU would have put up bigger numbers.

As for the Defense-the front 7 played great-maybe the best they have all season. UCONN has some decent backs but we shut them down. . Obviously porous secondary but you've got to expect exactly that when you start so many inexperienced DBs. Looked like they stepped up late because UCONN QB couldn't find any one open-but we were in prevent dropping about 8. In the end they found a way to get off the field late. UCONN's QB played pretty damn good considering the 8 sacks.

Kyran Mitchell with 4 Tackles for Loss was impressive

Hicks is a terrible QB! We definitely won today and last week in spite of Hicks. Thank God for our running game. Freeman, Jones, and West run with a purpose.

I cannot imagine how good our team could be with a servicable QB and at least a servicable O-Line. Yes we put up points again today, but let’s make sure and not give the credit for our points to Hicks just because he is our QB. I have no idea how Hicks is our QB. This must not say much about our hearalded transfers Gillins and Peavy. Give SMU the QB from any of our opponents this season and my guess is that our team would be truly running over the weak teams that we have played minus TCU.

Up here in Yellowstone country for my annual fly fishing trip. Sounds like I missed a good game. Can I get a ponyfans recap?

Uh...we have run over the weaker teams we have played minus TCU.

Ridiculous 14/3 TD/Int Ratio putting up 500 yards a game

SMU also converted on 10 3rd/4th Down Attempts on 19 attempts-seemed like most were on Hicks throws. That's excellent. In comparison even though UCONN's QB played well and SMU's CBs were BAD-UCONN was 3 for 13 on 3rd Down and 2-4 on 4th Down. That's a big difference

Respectfully I would not say that we have run over the weaker teams. North Texas, Arkansas State, and UCONN were all within striking distance in the second half. UCONN was within one score or less in the 4th Quarter. Embarrassing that we let weaker teams stick around. I blame Hicks and our poor coaching. Today our Special Teams stepped up and made a big play that changed the momentum of the game. And our defense had a few sacks that helped.

Hicks had trouble lining up the offense after a game stoppage. Costing us a timeout. Again Hicks is sorry and in-game coaching needs to improve. Quinn sets an SMU record for receptions in a half and for some reason Quinn is barely targeted in the second half. Makes no sense. Rafe Peavy must be pretty bad if he cannot take the QB position from Hicks. That is really sad.

Respectfully I don't think you know what you are talking about-you think we have a poor coaching staff? I think you might be drunk. There is no way in hell you can watch that game today and think Hicks was anything other than very good Today with 4 TD passes, a high percentage and No turnovers

We will learn a lot about Hicks over the next 6 games as 4 of our opponents (UCF, Coogs, Navy & Memphis) are all probably better than us and Cincinnati is on the road.

Respectfully we have exceeded the point spread in every game. I would consider that handling them just fine.

We can beat the Houston team I watched today if we get Wyatt back.
