I think the marketing campaign is great. For simple people, hearing SMU doesn't convey Dallas in anyway. Sadly when you Google search SMU, you sometimes get Singapore Management University. In conclusion, I think it's great that they are doing this especially locally. I just wish they woudln't over-hype stuff. The day we get invited to a big conference (if ever) and they say "something big is happen" we are going to be like: is it football camps?!

There's no such thing as a lesser marketing campaign. Even if they hyped it up a tad much. Looking forward to seeing SMU on the streets of downtown and at Love Field.

This is definitely a good thing and probably way overhyped. But lets be honest, why have we not been marketing at places like Love Field for the last 20 years? Every time I get off a plane there is a TCU mural welcoming you to DFW. Props to the donors though for finally doing something about it.

Side note - Is it legal to wrap South Garland HS with SMU basketball ads until Maxey commits? :wink:
