After SMU beat Pittsburgh, a number of people (on this board and elsewhere) downplayed the win because most of Pittsburgh's staff left for ASU before the game. In all likelihood, Butch Jones and his staff will be fired at season's end. So will the same folks downplay a win over Tennessee because of their interim staff?

A win or respectable loss (keep it close) vs a P5 does more for us than a win vs a no name. A blow out by a P5 is better than a loss or god forbid blow out by a no name.

I like the Indiana or Tennessee matchup. I would love to play a P5. Bring it. And win it!

I'd take a match up over Tennessee in a heart beat.

ESPN projecting PAC 12 teams in Frisco
They have SMU in Hawaii against Wyoming or Fresno

that would be about the only thing worse than another missed bowl due to it being on Christmas Eve. St Pete would be fun. NTCC - not so much.

looking at the Conference standings it appears there may be a lot of Conference who likely won't fill their bowl spots even some of the smaller conferences seem to be coming up short-probably the Hurricanes affecting that
