watching Clemson play tonight and I'm still waiting for Chad to find a TE who can get past opposing LBs and catch passes down the seam. That's been a big part of Clemson's offense that is missing from SMU's

yep that's what makes it so confusing because TEs are a key at Clemson. They thought they had their guy in Cade Brewer

I think Tech has scored TDs on 8 consecutive drives against OU including last year

meanwhile, Nebraska is 3-4 on the season and down 14-6 at half at Purdue. They have become irrelevant in the college football world since leaving the Big XII. Hope they are at least happy getting that big revenue share

Nebraska caught lighting in a bottle with Devaney and especially Osborne. Some 40 years with only 2 HCs and both winning multiple NCs.
That was in an era when coaches didn't move around so much. I personally think it will impossible for them to duplicate.
FWIW, Mike Trope, a super agent back in the 70's, wrote a book that was very damning towards Nebraska FB and Osborne. He said (surprise, surprise) that they were very dirty.
