SMU Alum 11 is concerned that Santa Claus won't be able to find him in Honolulu among the Pagan Christians

He doesn't realize that Santa Claus visits all the good children across the world even if they are Commies or weren't born in "Merica

Lol Santa Claus... you saying the one at north park isn’t really real!!!

No I just take my Christian holidays more seriously than others I guess. Even from a secular view, I would rather spend time with family then watch tv. Just saying. Plus I like to travel to a bowl game since I couldn’t make it to Birmingham and last one was armed forces @ SMU. I’ll just never be able to travel to the Hawaii bowl unless they change the date.

Frisco wouldn't be a reward for our players. Hawaii Bowl would at least give our fans an excuse for not showing up. December 20th in Frisco Tx: probably cold, Christmas Holiday travel and shopping, would give our pathetic fanbase, plenty of excuses for an embarrassing showing.

Not to mention the hotels and restaurants sponsoring the bowl wouldn't be happy. They want folks to come and stay a few days (i.e. spend money), not show up only for the game.

I doubt that Fresno wants to play us over there again...

I thought they tried to avoid having re-matches from the regular season? I don't see us playing North Texas again....hopefully. That wouldn't be exciting at all.

I went to Hawaii in 2009. We actually had a pretty good showing. Wouldn't be surprised if we did again (SMU fans can afford it). Having said that, would rather play in a new bowl against hopefully a P-5 team.

Agreed. Bleacher Report currently has SMU playing Arkansas State in Frisco. A double no!

Yes, but the 2009 bowl was the first bowl in 25 years. A bit more special.

St Pete seems good but not against UNT. The last time UNT played a bowl game in the HOD Bowl it was against Army which was a repeat game from the regular season.

Would love to see Arky get to 6 wins and play an old SWC foe.

There should be a rule that you cant play a team twice in a season...

Would also be nice if the NCAA did not allow you to play a team that you already lost to in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

That would make the Big 12 Championship game a little difficult.

I agree. I went to both of our Hawaii Bowl games and had a terrific time. Going there this year would be a good reward for our players. And a good reason for me to go again.
