Notre Dame still has undefeated Miami, who may be the most overrated team in college football right now, a weakened Stanford and Navy, and a decent Wake Forest still left to play. I'll be honest - if USC wins the PAC and MIami loses to ND and wins the ACC then the Irish will deserve that bid.

Arkansas State wins at NMSU to go to 4-0 and a share of the SunBelt lead along with App State (you might remember them as the giant killers who visited Ann Arbor and beat the mighty Wolverines).
UNT beats ODU and goes to 4-1, good for 1st place in CUSA West
TCU's loss at Iowa State drops them to 4-1 in Big XII play and in a 4 way tie for the lead with ISU, OU and OSU.
SFA wins and goes to 4-3 in Southland, middle of the pack.
Our non-conference schedule wasn't really as bad as everyone claims. While not full of P5 schools and former SWC mates, we at least played teams who are very competitive in their conferences. Of course, this might have been a good year to play 0-8 Baylor and 1-7 Rice
