For all intents and purposes this years freshman class is Jank’s first. Include Agau, McMurray and Mike.

Time will tell for sure but there seems a whole lot to be pleased with.

Fair enough. I think I worked hard to earn this criticism. I feel like it's never fair to remove a comment once you have posted it, so I will let it stand, but I will apologize for my earlier comments. Definitely not fair to Feron Hunt or his motives which I clearly do not know about. As my mom used to say, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I think I have reached that point and probably time to hang it up on this board.

Don't give up on the board Mr. Hilltop. I feel like you are a good man to admit that you
may have posted in haste, but you are obviously a Mustang fan and want them to win.

Could we please not act like this is some great pick up or part of our master recruiting plan. Feron would prefer to be a Frog 7 days a week, but unfortunately he was recruited over. It's not some great coincidence that Kaden Archie committed to TCU on October 15th and by the 20th Hunt decommited. TCU took our guy and now we are getting their scraps. If we stay on this path we will not be playing for a spot in the Tournament next year. TCU basketball is beating us on the recruiting trail and the marketing front. I expect great things from this year's team, but if we don't expect more from this coaching staff and the athletic department, we will give away all of the progress that we have made.

You unequivocally know nothing about this situation, but cobgrats for the diarhea of the mouth award. To say hunt isnt a huge get is dumb. His ceiling is higher than Archies. Look at our roster moving forward, especially if Maxey jumps in. TCU will be a good program but we're going to be just fine.

I’m sure Hunt will develop nicely, but please explain how replacing 4 stars with 3 stars is a recipe for succes? I mean if he becomes Ben moore or Sterling Brown, or Jarrey I understand, but isn’t that hard to project?

I mean your main assumption is with Maxey, a 5 Star recruit. If we miss on Maxey, should we be as excited on having a 3 Star recruit instead? I ask because I respect your insight.

Archie vs Hunt?

I love our staff but don't see how you can disagree with the post. We are getting this guy only Because the guy we really wanted chose TCU.

Basketball is too important to SMU for us not to recognize an issue when it is plain to see, and it does feel,like our recruiting has dropped off.

Well that statement confuses me a little since I know our returners are pretty good and our recruits have never touched the court yet, so I guess I am impressed with your evaluation of their poor quality.

247sports.com -which is a composite of services -has Archie rated 93 and change and Feron Hunt at 92. Defunct Scout had Hunt as a 4 star-since when do we [deleted] about 4 star recruits? Both listed as SF-and Hunt apparently taller listed at 6-7 on 247 and 6-8 on Rivals while Archie is 6-6. Kaden Archie appears more physically capable of playing early but Hunt may have a higher potential with more physical development. Based on SMU's roster-a little extra height is probably good. Pretty highly rated kid-smooth athleticism on video-not too concerned

smooth athleticism-and based upon looking at some videos over a couple of years I do believe that Hunt has grown-hopefully still growing. If a guy is still physically developing you got to think old star ratings might be outdated-or at least consider the upside. To me Kaden seems more guard and Hunt seems more forward so I'm not so sure they would be utilized in the same way in College although 247 has them both as Small Forwards. I think its probably better SMU has added a couple of recruits that can help inside-we've got athleticism all over the Court if these guys develop-which I love watching. Every player on our future roster coming up in 2018-19 can get up and down the Court-exciting

can't believe I haven't noticed it but since I don't remember anyone pointing it out Jaymar Young and Feron Hunt are teammates at DeSoto-might be interesting to catch a DeSoto game this year. I had noticed all 3 including Archie were teammates in AAU ball
