Can you imagine what our attendance would be like if most of our games were Tuesday and Wednesday nights?
I have started to wonder if the Tuesday/Wednesday night games are actually hurting the MAC in the long term. The attendances for those games are horrid. Exposure on TV is nice and all but you need to have people who are willing to put butts in seats if you want to cultivate the type of fan who is going to donate money and support the program through thick and thin. They might be better off if they could get out from under ESPN to a network that would feature them more on Saturdays. Perhaps with the soon to launch ACC Network some of their games will get moved to Thursdays and Fridays on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU while the AAC games slide into Saturday to fill in the gaps.
I agree that having the vast majority of their conference games on weeknights is not good for the conference. I think when MACtion became a thing the weeknight games were more like one or maybe sometimes 2 a week.
Literally all of their games for the last 4 weeks of the season are on weeknights (including sometimes multiple games on a single Tuesday) and quite a few before then were weeknights too. I get wanting exposure but that is killing your fans who want to come to the game in person.
Plus, as you get into later November it is cold up there and of course it is colder in the evening than it would be for a mid day kickoff.
In summary, seems to me they did not realize that the novelty of weeknight MACtion is what made it exciting so they are going to end up killing it by overdoing it.
Wow brutal loss for Pitt tonite losing to 1-7 North Carolina at home. North Carolina was led by their 3rd string freshman QB Nathan Elliott(from Celina, Texas who SMU looked at) who was starting his first game. Came in completing 38% of his passes but played well after a slow start. Probably knocks Pitt out of a Bowl

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

PAC 12 is dead. Big 12 winner today between OU and TCU will be their only hope of going to playoffs, but has to run the table. Big ten is already out. Things are actually setting up quite nicely for UCF if they can finish strong. They need Memphis and SMU to play really well from here on out to boost their SOS ratings.
Unbeaten UCF in the Playoff is laughable. No way the Panel puts them in Top 4 with their SOS. Let's put our energy into SMU winning the West. Wouldn't that be fun! Hope Temple and Navy (beat Army) make a bowl as well.

Big XII may have screwed up again if having a championship game means TCU and OU split and knock each other out of playoff contention. Georgia/Auburn, Miss St/Bama and Miami/ND are games to watch today
