Game summary: good defense, generally poor offense, clutch free throws down the stretch. Bomba continues to impress. Getting better every game. Still some freshman mistakes. If we could ever play consistent good offense, we might have something. Another small crowd.

I didnt think the crowd was that bad. I listened to part of the game on the radio and I agree it sounded like crickets on the radio. But when I got to the game in the second half, I actually thought it was a decent turnout. Not as good as the Rice game, but much better than some games. Pretty nice ovation by the crowd at the buzzer when the Mustangs won it.
Average win, we had to have it, but give Eustacy credit, he has his team playing hard.

Bamba Fall gets better and better -- he is going to be an extremely impressive player .... soon -- he's already on his way. In the post-game press conference, Coach Tubbs lauded Killen's effort, saying that he "changed the personality of the team defensively" when he was in the game and that he ran the offense very smoothly. He also praised the team for hanging in there when Southern Miss came out smokin' (about 10 minutes into the game, Southern Miss was shooting 80 PERCENT from the floor -- they were simply unreal.) When the Ponies made some defensive switches, the Southern Miss offense came back down to earth. Very good pressure defense down the stretch to complete the comeback.

...2nd half? We sure could have used you there during the FIRST half, Hoop Fan. The Mrs. and I got there for warm-ups and then suffered thru the first 20:00 of tonight's game. Don't know what Tubbs said during halftime but it obviously worked. Nice to see another 'W' for the Mustangs tonight. Keep it up!

I like the quote from Eustacy after the game..."He's an NBA player. I can't believe the improvement he's made. Jimmy has done a great job in developing him."
an NBA player, I love it
