Wasn't it raining, when we went there 2 years ago?

Yep, it rained the whole game, the stadium was practically empty and news broke during the game that Fuente was leaving for Virginia Tech.

I'm going to keep my prediction that this will be a complete blowout. We won't be able to slow down their offense at all. They will probably get to 50 on us. Our offense might be able to score a little bit but I'm still expecting a 50 something to 20 something type game.

The potential injury list is pretty alarming for this one whether they play hard of not. I've come to disregard Morris' comments on injuries because too many times he's downplayed an injury when the kid couldn't play for 1-2 weeks

Why would they even need to throw a pass to win. They will run all over our defense or if they don't want to run the ball they will throw for about 500 yards. We have to be able to play defense, it's pathetic. Blame the coach, blame the players, doesn't matter who you want to blame, the defense doesn't play defense.

That's what happens when you hire your buddies instead of the most qualified candidate. Whiffing on a D coordinator can really hamstring the progress of a rebuild.

Given weather conditions I'll revise my original prediction

Memphis 68
SMU 12 (two missed PAT's)

SMT's prediction for UCF Game

UCF 66
SMU 35

Final UCF 31 SMU 24

Then the blowhard has the balls to go on every SMU board saying what a [deleted] game SMU played against the no. 15 team in the Country. I'm sure it was the same way against Navy.

For what its worth UCF drubbed Memphis 40-13 and we took UCF to the wire.

Memphis lost four defensive starters for the season after their first game (I think)....now those new freshman starters are seasoned veterans! Actually, they start two freshmen and five sophomores on defense. They've improved since the UCF game but, they are still not a great D. We should be able to score. Just won't be able to keep up.

@ home is our huge difference. If we played all 12 games at home, we would probably be 10-2 or 9-3. I imagine most teams would be the exact same way. When we are on the road we drop in the rankings but at least 20-30 spots.

the morning and early afternoon forecast for Memphis is fine-mid-60s and partly cloudy-later in the day its gets ugly which shouldn't be a factor in a 11 o'clock kickoff

Hope you are right. Here's the forecast from The Weather Channel: A steady rain in the morning. Windy with showers continuing in the afternoon. Thunder possible. Morning high of 66F with temps falling to near 50. SW winds shifting to NW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 90%.
