Honestly think he is one of those players where he never could get in a rhythm coming off the bench. He has good technique and was a good scorer before he transferred. Glad he has put it together for this year.

I think it was largely shot selection-early in last 2 seasons he would take contested 3s or 3s off the dribble. He's a spot-up open 3 shooter

Right its largely been a November/December problem in both prior years

Gu has never hit a high percentage of treys until this year. His FR year at VT he handled the ball quite a bit. As 6th man for SMU he was often spotting our PG so he hasn't had as many good looks as he's getting this season. Despite shooting 30 something percent the past 2 seasons, he's always been a guy who rebounded, played good D and shared the ball. Very unselfish guy and I'm hoping this continues and he has a monster senior season. Lucky to have him.
