Bielema’s buyout is listed at $5.9 million, but apparently there is also a Razorback Club agreement that might take it up to $12 million. Couple with that a $5 million buyout for the AD they just fired.

Surprisingly the interim AD says she believes she has the authority to hire a new coach and is working on that without the use of a search committee, but rather her own knowledge. Sounds fishy to me unless she has been told to go get Malzahn if you can but no one else.

With TTU out of the picture, if UA can land Malzahn or Norvell then we may have Chad for another year. I just don’t see him going to a lower P5 outside where he can’t capitalize on his Texas recruiting ties.

I cannot see UA going after Chad regardless. They are adamant about getting someone with Arkansas ties for both AD and coach.

I heard an announcer mention that Nick Saban walks by his statue every day everyday on his way to work..

No. That is actually Nick Saban. They just thought he was a statue.

Interesting list of potential Arkansas coaching targets today in the Arkansas Dem/Gaz. Morris, of course is on the list but the first mention is Mike Leach, followed by Malzahn. Then Norvell, Sumlin, Kiffen. The list goes on but Leach surprised me as apparently the first choice given the way the article goes.

MANY Nebraska fans are interested in Scott Frost at UCF...Kind of found it interesting that Nebraska let him go rather quickly during the Saturday game spread to move in on Florida's interest in him. With Kelly off the market, I wonder what he will do?

Meanwhile, we have HCCM for another day....something to be thankful for now. that the turkey is getting a bit dry.

Someone is going to bite on Kiffen because of his success at Alabama and he's +6 this year at Florida Atlantic

Note it took UCLA less than 7 days to hire Mora. Recruiting window reopens this week and we got 3 1/2 weeks until signing day. Events are going to be happening quickly this week-schools can not afford to have a vacant coaching position at closing time. Stay tuned

What happens if kid signs during early period due to assurances from HC that he will remain at school, only to see HC bolt say the 1st week of January (before later signing date).

Kid now wants to leave, either to follow HC that signed him, or simply to go to another school.

I am assuming virtually every school will release him of his obligation.
