Re: Is that the end of Chad? For once we got lucky and while I was cursing the team the entire game I am very happy we won. I still think we need a new defensive coordinator but will enjoy the victory the rest of the day. Win or lose the bowl game we still finish the season with a winning record and in the last 30 seasons we have only been able to say that five times counting today.
Re: Is that the end of Chad?
Bingo. It has happened often enough to us in the past that I was preparing for the worst. I actually felt something in my gut. I won't say I woulda puked, but things were starting to get very volatile along the digestive system. I almost didn't know how to react when the call went our way. But hell yes! Big-time play at the goal line by Mitchell.
Re: Is that the end of Chad?I know most folks were at the game, but did any out of towners see the post-game on field interview with the Chad? He certainly sounded like he was in job interview mode:
"love these kids" "can you believe we've come so far since the disaster I inherited? " " did you know this was our best home record since 1982" "biggest turnaround in the history of the world" "love these kids" Certainly had the sell job on. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Re: Is that the end of Chad?He said he can’t wait to see Brian Baumgartner. Sounded future tense to me. He’s probably interview mode but keeping expectations low.

Re: Is that the end of Chad?doesn't want to leave after next year with his son going into senior year
Re: Is that the end of Chad?
That sounds like a coach preparing to close on the recruiting season before the dead period. If he goes, he goes, but selling himself and the program’s success under his direction is exactly how you sell prospects on why they want to come to the school. He’s in free market mode...gotta see what his value is out there. Best case for him, he is up there for some big jobs and Sumlin somehow stays alive in Aggie land. If that happens, then he gladly comes back for next year and probably replaces much of the defensive staff in an attempt to get the defense up to the standard of the offense and really make his case for the A&M job. Either way, nothing he said was a lie. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Re: Is that the end of Chad?In his post game interview he stressed his dedication to SMU and the team. He has been talking about the turn around since day one.
Now that said, do I think he is gone? Probably. If not this year, next for sure. But I will be much happier having a coach taken than having a coach fired........again. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Is that the end of Chad?As long as Hart has a short list and can backfill quickly. Keeping this recruiting class in tact will be critical to sustaining positive momentum.
Re: Is that the end of Chad?
You bet!

Yeah you betcha! Shake It Off Moody
Re: Is that the end of Chad?Would like to see him turn into a 10 or more year coach here.
Good man. Judy needs new DC and growth. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Is that the end of Chad?I'm not from Texas so I never heard of Chad Morris before he was HC. My understanding is that he was a beloved TX HS coaching wiz and this translated to great recruiting of TX kids. Checking the roster, there are 44 freshman (true and red shirt) and only 5 are from out of state. How does that translate to recruiting at a non-Texas school? I'd be concerned if I were an AD.
Re: Is that the end of Chad?
No, Gostings, catch up. As of this year, they're 51% non Texas. Their first time ever.
