Norvell appears to be the main target unless Malzahn loses on Saturday, then the push will be for him.

Also, they are supposed to hire a new AD sometime this week to make the hiring smoother.

Hogs really think they can get Malzahn from Auburn?

Many Auburn fans have been screaming for his firing all season long. They don't care about a SEC title, they don't think he can win a NC and that is all that matters to many fans. Gus isn't appreciated for what he has accomplished at Auburn by many Auburn fans.

Arkansas would probably hand him a piece of paper and a pen and say, write what you think is fair and then agree to it.

I don't recall hearing much about Bryan Harsin in connection with any openings, which is odd to me given his accomplishments as a head coach at Arkansas State and Boise, as well as having a significant amount of experience as an offensive coordinator at the college level.

Isn’t Harsin Boise States’s Patterson? I think that is his dream job.

I'm sure it might had something to do with it since he somewhat knew he might not play for his first 3 years here and at Baylor it could happen in his first year. Wish we could have hung onto him since his upside is much higher than Hicks.

Don't question Stallion, he is a mind reader, has never been wrong about recruiting in his life, and obviously knows exactly what went into Mr. Brewer's thought process. He apparently visited the family personally to get the inside scoop for PonyFans

Brewer is already better than Hicks.

SMU scored 36 against TCU while Baylor scored 22 and got completely shut down in the second half.

How exactly is Brewer already better than Hicks?

One of my best friends is Charlie Brewer's Uncle-I talked to him on the phone Sunday Nite for about an hour. Brought him to numerous SMU games over the years

Uh, accuracy x10, talent, leadership,.............. you go ahead and fill in the rest.

Trying to make a cherry pick comparison of a true frosh in the Baylor mess, to an established Hicks with Sutton/Quinn/Proche, is quite funny. Good one.

Zero. I see what most others see. Let's see who ends up the better QB. Hicks or Brewer.

Hicks just had a 3,500 yard, 30 plus TD single digit INT season. Charlie Brewer won one game against Kansas. To say that he is better than Hicks right now is beyond stupid. What leadership has Brewer shown? I'm not saying he isn't going to be a good player but that claim is laugh out loud stupid.

Hicks also took 17 sacks the entire season behind a pretty mediocre offensive line. He's vastly improved his decision making and is being careful with the football. He's also starting to run when the opportunity is there.

Oh yes, the name calling, the obvious sign you're wrong. Brewer is better, end of story. Move along.

So ignore the fact that Hicks was vastly superior in every statistical category and roll with the guy who has one career win b/c well....yeah

Its not either/or both are going to be great-Brewer has more accuracy though. 68.1% as a True Freshman. Brewer is Colt McCoy. Hicks will be the all time SMU record holder in every stat by mid season Junior year if he's not injured.
