What leadership has Brewer shown? I'm not saying he isn't going to be a good player but that claim is laugh out loud stupid.

Oh yes, the name calling, the obvious sign you're wrong. Brewer is better, end of story. Move along.

So ignore the fact that Hicks was vastly superior in every statistical category and roll with the guy who has one career win b/c well....yeah

Kinda tough to compare 'stats' when 1 guy didn't play a full year. One telling stat is 68.1% vs. 58.7% completions.

Saying Brewer only won 1 game, on that Baylor disaster team, is irrelevant as well.

Hicks takes more downfield shots that lead to a lower completion percentage. Either way you slice it he's made more progress from freshman to sophomore year than any player in recent SMU history.

BTW that Baylor OL is going to get Brewer killed. He needs to put on about 10-15 pounds in the offseason if he's going to survive. He's a good player but he's done nothing at the college level for anyone to know what he's going to do in his next three years other than beating Kansas.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Didn't play first 4 games, as the year went on he got better and better, on a terrible team, with a terrible OLine. Last 4 games, 70.7% completions and 151.7 QBR.

11/4 Kansas 23/29 (79.3%) 315 yards, 3TD/0 Int
11/11 Tech 43/63 (68.3%) 417 yards, 3TD/1 Int
11/18 I St 26/36 (72.2%) 198 yards, 1TD/1 Int
11/24 TCU 19/29 (65.5%) 301 yards, 2TD/1 Int

"he's done nothing at the college level" ??? Mind you, this is a true frosh, on a terrible team. Come on man.

If Gundy takes the TN job, I would expect Chad's name to pop up in the Oklahoma State search.

Gundy just recently signed a new extension. Wonder what the buyout is. Plus not sure the vols job is better than okie lite.

Gundy is an Okie and it's hard for me to see him leaving...but then again if someone offers obscene financial incentive to do so, who knows? Anyone taking that TN job better have huge guarantees because that program will expect immediate results and will not tolerate one bad year.

T Boone will not be around forever. Might be time unless he is in the T Boone will.

Gundy has some enemies at OSU in the Admin and among big boosters....they believe he should have already secured a NC, and beaten OU every year...think of Okie Lite fans as the Aggies of Oklahoma.

Maybe Gundy saw what happened to Jeff Bower at Southern Miss years ago and knows that eventually everyone wears out their welcome.

Bower played for Southern Miss, was an assistant at Southern Miss, head coach at Southern Miss and fired by Southern Miss. All he did was take Southern Miss to 11 bowl games and turned down offers for better jobs. They fired him because it was stagnant and "didn't get to the next level" and replaced him with Larry Fedora who bailed after 3 years.

Looks like Mississippi State’s vacancy is now filled.

Hearing 10RC is also going after Purdue’s coach from Bama sources - can you imagine Chad facing Nick, Kirby, and Dan every fall???
