Our Strongest Position?

Post by MustangKurt20 »

Which position do you guys think we'll be strongest/deepest at? With all the attention on the weakest positions I'd like to hear something a little more upbeat...

I say running back. Keylon Kincade proved himself last year, ShanD proved himself in 2001, and the coaches supposedly love Johnnie Fitzgerald. We're deep enough at RB that the coaches felt confident moving Anthony Barnett, a highly-touted RB in high school, to the secondary.

Hopefully all the freshmen will be able to redshirt, although I love the confidence coming from Richuel Massey and the rest.

I would agree with Running Back-in fact I think it is probably the only position on the field with quality Division 1A 3-deep depth.

I don't know - I think the linebackers are pretty strong, too. D.D. Lee is going to be a force inside, we all know about Brian Bischoff outside and D.D. Johnson is a smart, experienced leader.

Not sure about depth, though. Who will be the backups this year?

Running Back does look to be solid. Also I like the linebacking corps. I think some people are going to be suprised by the play of Jamar Bey. He's a big, athletic kid who's really put on some weight in the last few months. I think he's gonna be a real contributor.

I saw Jamar Bey at a basketball game this season, and he looked like he's added 20 pounds or more since his arrival in the fall. He looks like a totally different player.
