yeah but Craddock would likely want to follow Morris-not a bad idea though if you could keep Craddock

I don't know everyone on your list, but Todd Graham would be hard to support.

Career wise he has to get out from under Morris sooner or later.

Definitely-the ideal situation for everyone would be for Morris to stay at SMU for 2 more years until son graduates from H.P. Craddock puts up 2 more Top 10 Offense cementing reputation. Morris moves on-Craddock moves up to Head Coach installing Traylor as Offensive Coordinator and G.J. Kinne as QB Coach (and groom him to take over for Craddock one day). Happy Happy everybody Happy-Chad leaves and SMU fans wish him well after building a solid foundation. SMU Boosters need to do everything possible to keep BOTH Morris AND Craddock happy for 2 more years

If you hire Kiffin just understand its a 1 year contract and the foundation you've built from a Morris/Craddock tenure is all gone after that year. If you go the Morris/Craddock route you can keep the synergy of the program by promoting from within if they keep producing Top 10 Offense which I think they will. Minimal disruption of recruiting. No disruption in Offensive formations. Players don't have to learn a new scheme. See TCU, Memphis, Florida St. with Jimbo, OU

Agreed. Best possible scenario for SMU's football future

I sure hope that's true and we have Chad for at least 2 more years...that would mean he would have a complete roster of guys he and his staff recruited before he leaves. That's becoming a rarity in today's world of college football

Ut will get rid of Herman in two years. Chad will be a good candidate for them. Love to see an Aggie at the helm.

If Herman and his agent were smart, they structured his deal to guarantee his pay for the full term. Have to like Sumlin's deal that makes it easy for him to leave A$M without too much pain.

UT will have had 2 AAC coaches in a row at the helm if they fire Herman. I don’t think they go back to the AAC if they fire Herman. They may look for a more established coach from a P5 conference like aTm did.
