I Think We Have A Media Darling - Bamba Fall Article

Postby RE Tycoon » Tue Feb 07, 2006 11:33 pm

Two articles on one player, in one week...that has to be some kind of record. I'll be at the game tomorrow, can't wait to be in "Swat City".

Great job Watkins! I hope students embrace him and we'll see what happens...

Lineburg told Tubbs about Fall , and the summer of 2004 became the Bamba Watch. Tubbs and his coaching staff went to every summer league game in which Fall was involved.

who was the other player? Yes, this seems a little odd for the DMN

If I knew where Shady lived, I'd go laminate this article to his front door.

But this cannot be--the DMN does not give coverage to SMU, except to diss them!! Are you people on dope??

I have purposely stayed out of the DMN discussions on this board because I personally haven't seen the neglect or conspiracies.

I feel given our poor play in Football and Basketball over the last couple of decades coupled with our poor attendance and shrinking fan base, we probably get even more coverage than we deserve.

Articles like this along with the fact they always are a sponsor for our athletic events and buy advertising is something I am grateful for . Hell, the DMN commercials are pratically all you hear during radio broadcasts.

We should cut them some slack. When we start winning, the coverage will increase. Dallas is a bandwagon city, if we can put an attractive product on the field and court, people will show up and the media will compensate.

Kudos to Watkins for writing an excellent article that gave me a ton of information I did not realize about Bamba
