Exactly. We need a fix on defense. If we keep Traylor like the players want, we can keep the offense still firing, while putting a good probability that the defense would get fixed.

I believe he wants to be a HC and was willing to stay at UH to do so.

Plus our QB recruit is 100% committed to SMU so I think we are safe.

I do believe we need to keep Justin Stepp though, developed Courtland Sutton who might be a first round pick. Trey Quinn who has the potential to go to the NFL. And James proche who is a dangerous playmaker and could start on most P5 teams. Maybe they could put Jeff trailer and Justin stepp as co-offensive coordinators. and finally get rid of Malone.
