LA Tech isn't that good. We should win. But, I worry about the mental state of this team right now. Could easily lay an egg. I hope we score a lot of points regardless.

You do realize our coach will have about 4 plays to run and do we even have anyone to run the defense? Is Van still here? They will not even have anyone to tell them where to line up.

Vegas has picked pretty much every SMU game correctly this year - so SMU by 5 in a "low" scoring affair...(over/under is 70 in vegas)

Why do we think we are going to win this one? LaTech beat navy in last year's bow game and we got bent over by Navy.

This year they lost 3 games by 1-point. Two losses to a good FAU team and decent MissSt team.

Color me pessimistic but I'm not feeling a win on this one.

I will go homer though for this exercise:

30-24 win for SMU

Come from behind win, while also missing an extra point (just for grins).

Based on their ending results:

Lost to NTCC @ home (we killed NTCC)
Lost to FAU @ home (can't say)
Beat UTEP (whoopie doo)
Squeaked by UTSA at home where they had to have alot passion to get to 6-6.

Frisco - Home advantage to us - especially we sold out the allotment and extra allotment
Offense - Far superior to their offense
Defense - Could be an issue but hope the seniors there make up the difference
Bowl - First time for our team to be in a bowl since 2012 I believe, so motivation

This isn't going to be a blow out game, but we should win it. Vegas thinks so and so should we.

The senior D lineman (Gentry & Lawler) play inspired and do just enough and B. Hicks makes just as good of play calls as Craddock, if not better, to score the points we need to win. I never was sold on Craddock or VM and frankly extremely glad both are gone (or soon will be in the case of VM).
