Unfortunately, the jerks from UT blocked the punt in the process.

that makes both of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Wow, that might big of you. A player gets kicked in the balls and it makes you happy. I will be sure and forward the Texas injury list to you for your amusement.

You ought to have to live within 50 miles of tu like I do. Let me tell you you hear nothing on TV or in the paper except tu. I love the Hill Country, but I'd like to hear something about my alma mater sometime instead of the d___ horns.

ALL4SMU: Thanks! Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see the entire UT football team on the injured list!

Just for the record: I saw this happen and the player got up and wasn't even fazed. Which leads me to think that perhaps the 'special teams' at UT are all eunics!

All4SMU,
Just because you post here 262 times, doesn’t make you for SMU. Are you one of those SMU students that is one of those ut "fans?"

What is a little rivalry? Just because UT did the same things as SMU during the 80's and SMU was used as a whipping boy, doesn't mean UT is THAT GOOD. ****, we (SMU) has made it to as many BCS bowls as UT has since the BCS has existed.

When UT makes it to a BCS bowl, then talk.

And by the way, what the hell does, "Wow, that might big of you. " mean? That is a UT wannabe talking.

I have an idea, instead of sending us the injury report, which you won't do, why don't you send me the Texas National Championship record since 1980 record to me. And keep in mind, the state of Texas is the biggest high school football state in the US. and should be the biggest, most winning program in the nation. They also don't have the DP. SO, when you figure out whose site you should be posting on, I will not be expecting your post.

You are very confused. My sole point was to point out that I thought it was sad that someone would be happy that another player was kicked in the balls. I was not talking smack. I said nothing of UT being better at anything. I would have made the same comment if it was a TCU player, OU player, etc.

Seeing that player kicked in his genitals gave me a good laugh. It's not like we would give the UT football team the same metaphorical ball crunching if we played them.

I would just like to say I am glad that the SMU fans in this forum have pinpointed its true enemy: The UT longhorns. I can't wait to play them again some day. There's not a University I dislike more. Just for the record it is a friendly hatred. The university of Texas is filled with fellow americans that I love. Its just a rivalry that we need to bring back. A friendly, nonviolent, sporting rivalry. Also, I am confident that UT has been guilty of the same crimes as we were in the 80's and were never punished. It's still sad that the NCAA would punish one school so badly and years later when the same offense is committed by other schools they are not punished as severely. I cite the Miami and Alabama programs as examples. Miami was given a couple of years without bowl games. Alabama was also given this. No football programs have ever been punished the way we were because schools such as UT would never be punished that way. I don't even think it would come out to the public if UT were to endeavor in such an act. If you are still reading my reply thank you. I hope you are with me when we saw 'em off in a few years.

Maybe not in football and basketball, but we still play them in other sports and sometimes we beat them. For instance, our womens swimming and diving team came out in fourth place in the NCAA National Championship meet this weekend...Texas ended up in seventh place. BE PROUD PONIES!!!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
