At least CM left our program in better shape than JJ left it.
Can we finally get past that narrative?

Peavey?..Peavey?....
2 backup QBs work their rear ends off all year for chance to play, and in the final game, when the starting QB is failing miserably, they still canΓÇÖt see the light of day. WhatΓÇÖs wrong here???

Maybe so but down by 40 in the 4Q of a low tier bowl is the perfect time to give a guy some snaps. Might feel differently if Hicks was a senior.

I wonder what must be going through Dykes mind right about now? I wonder if he even met with the backup QBs or whether he will talk to them individually after this debacle.

We all know the new coach was in a no win situation tonight. If he benches Hicks, he immediately loses the team, which means he should have benched Hicks and made it his team. Too late now but the S is about to hit the fan.

The kids are blaming the loss on not having a coach and Ben calling the plays.

It was a team effort.

We were not interested in playing this game. Several discipline issues during the week, a GA calling plays, and several other players going through the motions. For whatever reason, it WILL allow Dykes to come in like an avenging angel and use this as a point of change. Air Raid offense instead of read/react.

Hicks had an abysmal night...late on throws, and receivers on a completely different page. The turnovers demonstrated a lack of focus...again, a team effort.

The defense was consistent with what we have seen all year. Van will have the resume out by Thursday at 9 am.

On a positive note, there were a lot of Mustang fans I haven't seen in a while, and it was pleasant catching up. Good to see Dicker/James there as well.

Hard to blame Hicks when heΓÇÖs had to Ben labor union rep talking with Hart about Traylor. Trying to get players ready for the game when we went with Sonny and then having to coach the game. HeΓÇÖs only a sophomore so itΓÇÖs kind of ridiculous to put that on him. IΓÇÖm glad he stepped up but the admin should have found a way to convince Traylor and company to coach the damn game.

Telling moment for me was when some of the injured players went behind the bench and started trying to ΓÇ£hypeΓÇ¥ the crowd (who were already 42-3 into that miserable BS). Behind them sat a lifeless bench; no discernible fire, no apparent leadership. They really do expect us (the crowd) to give them something they canΓÇÖt find within themselves. There really is some pathetic loser-mentality on this team. ΓÇ£Finding a reason to play forΓÇ¥ during the Memphis game was a huge sign to me that a lot of these players have loser-mentality and are toxic to the team. Cut ΓÇÿem, Coach!

Maybe the "kids" need to grow up and own up! Are you kidding me? Really??
