How many will sign before the game tonight?

Re: Early signings
With Ellison also listed as linebacker, we have two fast, athletic LBs already signed! That's good news.

Re: Early signings
Williams is so smooth, shifty, and fast. Great get.

Re: Early signings
7 early signees on day one, 4 of which are Sonny's doing. Will be interesting to watch how this year's class eventually plays out
Re: Early signings
He said he was going to sign 13 more in March (?). We now have 13 unsigned commits. Wonder how this is going to work out.

I just love the 247 headline: ΓÇ£OL won’t sign early but is optimistic about DykesΓÇ¥ translation: I’m looking for something better and praying about it.

Re: Early signings
Or it could be that he actually wants to sign with SMU but you know - maybe wants to see who his OL coach will be before he does. Either one.

Re: Early signings
Actually, I was referring to how many of the unsigned commits Dykes would recruit over, not how many would stick with SMU. Personally, I would rather see him keep bringing in his own recruits. He signed some early and the rest were encouraged to wait and see.

QB is not going to be a QB for long. Expect him to move to WR or maybe defense.

Re: Early signings
he is a 3 year project-well maybe at best a 2 year since he enrolled early. High upside based only on athletic and physical talent. Technique wise he's about as raw a QB as I've seen SMU sign-even more than Gillins -and I made my feelings about how raw he was from the Day he signed. I'm not sure if Will Brown fits in an Air-Raid based on his videos but who knows with good coaching and patience. I would be surprised if Dykes doesn't bring in an Air Raid compatible QB because I think most of our QBs are mis-matched to an Air Raid Offense
But I will say that Brown does have the athleticism and the arm strength to become a good QB if he can improve his technique. The ball really does jump off his arm even when he is making unorthodox throws
