Re: Numbers / notes: SMU rolls USF, 79-39
odd season stat: Jimmy Whitt is hitting 60% of his FG, has not taken a three but is hitting less than 50% of his FTs. He has been terrific, though and is among our leading rebounders, is 2nd to only Shake in assists and leads the team in steals
Re: Numbers / notes: SMU rolls USF, 79-39
I was genuinely shocked when he missed that 1 mid range jumper last night even though it wasn't a good shot.

Whitt needs to jump shot his FTs.

The turn-around jumper would be hilarious.

I seem to remember a former NBA guard shooting jump shot FTs...might have been Wali Jones for the 76ers? Have to be an old timer to remember

Free throws are all mental. Guys just need to get their heads right.

The Free Throw Line is outside Whitt's range-love what he does to get good shots and long arms on defense though

In most cases, that's absolutely right. But Whitt's shooting mechanics are among the strangest I've ever seen.SMULaxer wrote:Free throws are all mental. Guys just need to get their heads right.
