We were on the cusp of getting ranked and then we lost to Tulane. The loss to Temple at home killed us and us outside Joe Lunardi's 64. We will have to win our next three to crack the Top 25.

If rankings were based on ceiling then we are clearly a Top 15 team. However rankings are supposedly based on overall body of work and in that we are Top 40.

We have not played Northern Illinois. We did lose to Northern Iowa though.

They all might "seem" bad to us based on expectations and the results of the last few years, but those are not three bad losses in the eyes of the committee and how they are evaluating this year. Temple (home) is 51 and Tulane (away) 100 in RPI. Both of those fall in the tier 2 category, which aren't bad losses. Anything in tier 3 or 4 would be a bad loss - like UNI (neutral vs 127).
