11 seconds left. How many of you have had enough of this sh*t? You have to think that from 45 seconds down to zero, it was hard work to not win this game. Marshall missed a FT...then got the rebound. They have a guy with four fouls all throughout the OT who also happens to have scored 34 points, so do we go at him? Nope. Oh, and on the aforementioned missed FT by Bhop, Roberts missed a putback that would've given us a 3 point lead.

How many games are there when missed LAYUPS are an issue?

Damn this sucks.

Lost all access just at the split second that Dez's 3 pointer karoomed off the backboard horribly. Did we at least get another shot?

as frustrating a group to watch as I can EVER recall in my 40 yrs of following SMU basketball. BHop alone keeps you on a roller coaster ride...7 turnovers to offset those 6 steals...and Bamba needs to hit the weight room. We were destroyed on the boards tonight

Mine stayed on till the end. You did not miss anything. They went down court and could not set anything up and thru up a hail mary at the buzzer.

oh, but he's a five-star point guard! And remember, SMU has let him down more than he's let SMU down. /sarcasm off.

How many other top-five point guards in the country coming out of HS are so streaky? Oh, and about the NBA; while I'm pissed about the game, I might as well ask what I've been wondering. Bhop is 5'11, which would make him small point guard size in the NBA. Does he play point guard for us? Nope; that's usually Dez. How many 5'11 shooting guards are there in the NBA? There's a matchup..Kobe vs. Bhop.

NBA caliber point guards don't turn the ball over in college.

Sorry, not meant to be personal. I think we're all entitled to vent.

I just hope it is chemistry (or lack thereof) and not coaching, but these kids do not have any sense of playing together. They never know where the others are on the court. Maybe when Tubbs has all of his own on the court it will improve, but this is embarassing right now.

Mrydel,

Yep - they don't seem to play well together and can't hit a jump shot or layup.

Positive:
1) Dez hitting FT's to force OT.
2) Scoring more than 50 pts.

3-7 in Conference and tied for 10th place! woo hoo...4 games left...and I really am not sure they can win any of them truthfully....

I predicted SMU would be average at best this season. I even think SMU is besting my prediction. Average is overstating this team. Two pathetic losses at home to two bad teams. This is an absolute joke of a season again. At least Copeland is gone. I believe SMU has fallen to the bottom 25% of Division 1-A basketball teams. I expect much more than this. Year after year it is the same disappointment. I guess that is why no one goes to the games anymore and why Copeland was forced out. Tubbs better hope for Arthur to sign because he has done absolutely nothing to convince the new AD (whoever that may be) to keep him around.

I only have two comments. We are a totally inconsistent, sloppy, poor shooting team (how many times has this been said this year). In addition, Marshall's 6-9, 250 lb. center, Mark Patton totally ate our lunch. We had no answer for his shooting or his strength under the boards. He would kill us close in and then drop out and hit easy looking threes. Bamba should take heed.
