Re: Sutton's draft positionCourtland's best events were 3 cone drill and the 2 shuttle runs. Great marks there.
Re: Sutton's draft position"Winner WRs:
Courtland Sutton, SMU - The 6-3, 218-pounder ran 4.54 in the 40, had a 35.5-inch vertical, and a 10-foot-4 broad jump. More impressive than all that was his 6.57 in the three-cone drill and 4.11 in the short shuttle, ridiculous times for a player of his stature. Re: Sutton's draft positionBleacher Report has Sutton at #21 to the Bills (2nd WR drafted). Quinn #147 to the Saints. Brown/Lawler undrafted.
Re: Sutton's draft positionLast week, CBS had Sutton as the first receiver taken in the draft. At 15, I think.
Re: Sutton's draft positionas high as #8 to the Bears
Re: Sutton's draft positionNot sure the Combine helped or hurt Sutton. Seems like he did what was expected. Now it will be down to the film and a team's needs.
Re: Sutton's draft positionhe had an excellent combine. did not hurt him.
Re: Sutton's draft positionI know Courtland was disappointed, but 40 speed was exactly as expected. The drills however were fantastic. I’d say he improved his stock.
