This probably won't be as volatile as the Moody re-seat, but wanted to bring up the fact that tailgate spots are now requiring their own $1,000 donation. Football/basketball season ticket donations used to count for that amount, but not starting this year.
Basically brings the price up for us from $700 to $1,700.
My friend who has the account said the invoice didn't reflect that, so wanted to share on here so everyone was aware.

supply and demand - you can still walk the boulevard, rely on the kindness of strangers (with apparently deeper pockets), get a seat half off if you bring a Dr. Pepper can to the ticket window, and sit anywhere you want inside the stadium.

This was just called to my attention as I never saw it on my ticket invoice. Nice job, athletic department. If this has been widely touted then I apologize for being asleep at the wheel. So we are now looking at about $300 per game for the BLVD spot. I'm thinking after every home game since the opening of Ford, I may say adios.

Seems to me that charging very high dollar amounts for the Blvd spaces only encourages people to spend more time at them thus lowering an already low attendance even more.

^^^ This. I guess after successfully crippling the student/greek participation and enthusiasm levels they decided to take a stab at the hard core fan base, many of which have been the program's mainstays for decades.

The day I roll up to an SMU ticket office toting a Dr Pepper can ...

That does seem to be a common theme.

Maybe they're trying to increase attendance by making the Boulevard expensive and then lowering ticket prices.
