AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney threadModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney threadThat Cincinnati meltdown is 10x worse than our two past screw ups. How do you blow a 22 point lead?

Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney threadCincy and “Mick the Elf” win the award for the most embarrassing loss of the tournament.
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
Absolutely. But to be fair, they've represented the conference much better overall.
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney threadSMU needs to stop complaining about our tournament seeding until we win a game. And the AAC needs to stoping asking for respect until we get a team in the sweet 16.....

Not even close. But it was embarrassing.
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
I think Virginia and maybe even North Carolina would disagree. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney threadGuess the AAC is not a "great" basketball conference after all. Another ugly post season for the entire conference. Our 4 post season teams go 2-4 and can't survive the 1st week. It's been a fun tournament so far, though. Better than usual with all the upsets and Cinderella stories.
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney threadWe will be fortunate to even get a 6 seed next season now.
Shake It Off Moody
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
Yep. This exactly. Makes our previous complaints look even less valid when our conference - across the board - and SMU continuously fall short of even low expectations. At least Houston choked against a better seed.
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
And I don't even think we can complain... I liked complaining.
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
True. Cincinnati and Wichita State were just total embarrassments though. And if we would have been healthy we would have made the tournament and gone out in the first round as usual too. An object at rest cannot be stopped!
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
I feel guilty saying it, but SMU not being at all involved has made it a little easier to enjoy... lol
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
UC has the best team it’s had in 20 years and couldn’t make the 2nd weekend. WSU has a preseason top 5 team and goes out in 1st round. Embarrassing. This was the year the league was supposed to build some cred. UC and WSU will be worse next year even if Evans and Shamet return which is 50-50 at best. UH will be good but probably not better without Rob Gray. Never thought I would see UC with Gary Clark and co blow a 20-pt lead. AAC doesn’t deserve any credit at this point.
Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney threadThe UC message board is in total meltdown as you would expect, many calling for Cronin to be fired. Also a lot of profanity.
Long live Inez Perez!
