I thought Ray played well and is a physicall grown man type player.

Co-sign. Though chargois has the skill edge, Ray won't be easy for teams to knock off the blocks. We need that type of player. He looks like he understands positioning well for a freshman.

He definitely won’t be easy to knock of the blocks. We are going to need that physicality against Cincinnati.

FWIW, UMBC played #3 Arizona today. It was 9 point game at the half and Arizona won by 25. J Lyles had 31 points (5-of-8 from three). As a team UMBC shot 14-28 from deep.

UMBC played a great 30 min game vs. AZ and was within 3 in the early 2nd half. I think that they may do quite well in the America East this year - as long as Lyles stays healthy.

Also looking at AZ, if we get them in the Bahamas we dont have anyone that can guard Trier or Ayton.

The guy to watch for on UMBC is a former VCU (shaka recruit) player who transferred in - Jairus Lyles. America East leading returning scorer. His dad is former NFL player.

They return 4 starters, three of them Seniors. New coaching staff, new transfers, new $90 Million Arena opening...

Must watch video preview of their team if you know nothing about UMBC. They are NOT to be taken lightly as some might chose to do...

As I said before...UMBC is not to be taken lightly. A lot of this board referred to their team as "garbage" after we beat them.

spacing and ball movement was an issue but Jank can coach em up and this team should get much better as the season wears on

With a few exceptions, this was one of our big problems all season long. Barring the injuries, I do think this team would have been much improved come tournament time
