Only conclusion is this is something unrelated to basketball, or rules trouble. In twelve years he built UTA into a really good mid major program. The school’s only NCAA appearance (2008), two NIT appearances (2012 & 2017) and he was 72-30 in the past three seasons including an appearance in this year’s Sun Belt championship game. Plus, last off-season I heard New Mexico was really interested in him.
