I like it. Better than I expected. Wish it had an amazing weight room but I guess we aren’t a P5 school so can’t have everything.

Maybe the coach said upgrade the current weight room as a duplicate is unnecessary

Right, no horse treadmill. Duct taping stuff to the floor and putting a foam pad against the wall in the human performance lab's 50foot hallway to the bathroom is fine for our studies that get published and show up on ESPN, SI,
and the New York Times.

You can critique SMU about several things, but the dependability of creating buildings that are high quality and also fit the context of our campus is among the best in the country. All the static in the background about the IPF over the last few years is just the noise of people who are not informed. I think this looks great and I am not surprised.

Would be nice if we now can start raising an athletic endowment for general support - and also move our focus overall - less buildings and more endowed scholarships and endowed chairs.

I kind of like having the shorter field. It will help boost the offense's confidence since it will be easier to get into the red zone.

Heard the rumor that the practice field will be retractable, so that the outdoor pool and diving well won't be destroyed after all. The end zone will open up to reveal the pool underneath. A portable fountain is to go into the diving well. Wow, SMU's thought of everything !

The portable fountain is legendary. I think it is stored at the KA house. Does anyone have a photo?
