From SMUMustangs.com:
Australian Paige Bayliss Signs With SMU
DALLAS (SMU) – Head coach Travis Mays has added a seventh freshman to the 2018 signing class as Paige Bayliss signed a National Letter of Intent to play at SMU. The 6-5 post player from Queensland, Australia is a member of the 2018 U18 Australia team.
Bayliss averaged 5.3 points and 8.1 rebounds in the 2018 U20 Australia championship for Queensland, winning a silver medal with the squad. In 2017, she was a member of the gold-medal winning Australia team at the FIBA U17 Women's Oceania Championship. She also represented Queensland in the 2017 U18 championship, and was listed as the No. 2 post prospect at the tournament by Premier Basketball Report.
The Brisbane State High School product joins Texas products Amber Bacon, a 5-5 guard from Grand Prairie, Texas, and Desoto teammates and cousins Kayla and JaQuia White. Also in the 2018 freshman class are Alexis Leggett, a 6-3 post player from Ariton High School in Ariton, Ala., Marie Olson, the No. 21 post prospect according to ESPN and a standout at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, Calif., and Brishonne Tollie, a 6-2 post player from Bartow, Fla.
The 2018-19 roster will also feature the addition of Makenzie Ellis, who sat out the 2017-18 season after transferring from Colorado, and the return of Alicia Froling who missed the season with a knee injury. Froling, also a Queensland, Australia, native, is 15th at SMU with 1,213 points in three seasons, and led the Mustangs in scoring with 14.3 points as a junior in 2016-17. Mays guided SMU to 19 wins and the third round of the WNIT as a first-year head coach two seasons ago.

Does this mean Froling is not coming back?

A center just might be the missing piece. Looking forward to next season!

Froling was a huge missing piece this year. Glad she's coming back.

I think a team that went 10-18 has more than 1 missing piece.

Tried to watch them 4 times on national TV and simply could not hold out for the whole game. Team was simply over matched, over whelmed and did not belong on the floor with the teams they were playing.White Helmet wrote:I think a team that went 10-18 has more than 1 missing piece.

I try to be an SMU fan across the board and not just football. I have high hopes that Mayes will establish this program as a perennial NCAA tournament team. Unfortunately, last season was pretty much a disaster.SoCal_Pony wrote:Pocono, and all this time I thought you were an SMU FB fan.PoconoPony wrote:Tried to watch them 4 times on national TV and simply could not hold out for the whole game.
