I seem to recall as many as 14 guys from that 1982 team playing in the NFL but not sure how many were actually drafted that year. I think Wes Hopkins, who went on to be an all-pro safety was an undrafted free agent.

With 3 guys drafted this year, that's as many as Clemson had and more than Michigan so we had some talent on this year's roster, or at least NFL scouts seem to think so.

Had to look it up; we had 4 guys drafted in what was a 12 round draft in 1983 with Dickerson going # 2 and Hopkins going in the 2nd round. I didn't check the 82 and 84 drafts but I know that 82/83 team had a bunch of NFL players on the roster.

looks like we had 4 guys drafted in 83, 84 & 85 so that 82/83 team was really loaded. Had some free agent signings, too. Mike Charles immediately comes to mind (blocking FB for Dickerson) and I didn't see Byron Hunt on those lists. Can't remember for sure what year he was but went on to play for the NY Giants for years at LB. Weren't Hunt & Moten LBs on the same team?

Had seven drafted in 1949 (I think), starting with some guy named Doak Walker.

I think it worth pointing out that the AAC had 18 players drafted, only two fewer than the Big 12....
