Colt and Kelly teeing it up at the Nelson along with Noah Goodwin but Bryson taking the week off after the grind he's been on. Too bad. Would like to see him play in the "local" event

Kelly is in pretty good shape. Colt must have forgotten to set his alarm.

From what I hear it is the bending of his wrist that is the problem.

That would be a problem

Re: Our Pro golfers
The whole new golf course thing always sounded really cool but I honestly didn't pay much attention to all of the updates.
Can someone enlighten me why the hell we built a links course?
Obviously the lack of shade in Dallas seems strange, but wouldn't we want our players to get experience on a course similar to the ones on which they will be competing most of the time?
All of the reports sound like it's really nice, but the style seems very strange to me.

Would have been great to see Bryson compete, but he doesn't support the current program as well as TF...hopefully that will change over time. Fortunately Kelly is off to a great start, hope he can represent SMU well

Looks like the course is pretty easy based on the scores so far

Re: Our Pro golfers
Kelly misses the cut at minus 2 so course didn't play too easy for him.

Let's talk about this - wide fairways and no trees... on top of all of that, it is a links course, which is pretty rare.
Is this the right course for our SMU team to play in order to be competitive at the highest level?
Just curious, I haven't played it or visited. I'm just making some assumptions based on what I have read.
Side note - isn't that course perfect for Tiger? I wonder if he could be talked into it by keeping that in mind...

Announcers at Colonial just said Colt Knost would be joining them a little later. Maybe we can find out what is holding him back.

Colt said he had surgery on his thumb a few days ago, (second time in two years) and has his thumb in a wrapped cast which covers his full hand and up to his elbow.
So I will retract my earlier snide remark and acknowledge his injury. Looks like he will be out for a while. I am not sure how the rules work but I would guess he plays next year on a medical exemption.
He was sitting at a table so could not really tell but just looking at his face it appears he may have lost some weight. Which would explain from where the weight I have continued to gain came.
