Actually I recall he kicked th UT guy in the you know what. Lacy Gregg later said that was the kind of thing you do in the pileup, not on the open field for all to see. It was beautiful!

Actually I believe he did it with his fist as they were to close together to get a kick in. Luckily the guy wasn't wearing a cup. He well deserved it that's for sure.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Here is my list. And I believe that every one of them was on a team that beat TCU...which is a pre-requisite for my personal list.

Michael Bowen - he actually transferred to Georgia and then transferred back post DP. He also posts here on the forum as BO17: http://www.ponyfans.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=48391

Image

Margus Hunt - He absolutely changed the game - if only from Special Teams Play

Image

Richie Butler - Minister of Defense - Now on Board of trustees

Image

Zach Line - his biggest play of his SMU career may have been a forced fumble on Special teams that led to TCU win.

Image

DeMyron Martin - makes this list due to one VERY big game.

I stand corrected. You’re right. It was an upper cut with his fist. Well deserved as the TU guy was being a bully.
Long live Inez Perez!

The recipient of Rea's punch was Stan Thomas, an offensive lineman who ended up getting drafted in the first round of the 1991 draft. I interviewed him after that game — a good two or three hours after Rea dropped him — and he still was so angry I was scared to ask him too much.
