Good preview from SWCThe writer definitely takes some shots at the used car salesman.

Re: Good preview from SWCI don't think the hogman's wife will sit in the stands in hogland, like she did here, she would
hear too much crap from the hogfans if things aren't going well.
Re: Good preview from SWC![]() This preview is correct... it's do or die time Sept 1st.... we've got beat to North Texas State or it's over. C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Good preview from SWCN.T.S.U. is a must win if we are to have a good season.
Re: Good preview from SWCIt really is.
The scary thing is if heaven forbid we lose people will start to turn on Sonny when it's really the full tilt boogie team hogman left us with. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Good preview from SWCSo true that UNT is the must win game right outta da box. However, we should have the horses to beat them, especially if the defense improves under Kane. This game will be true test of coaching and making adjustments on the fly. I would like to see better recruiting in the line play, something lacking with Jones and Morris to a lesser degree. I do believe Sonny gets that. The sunshine at my house is bright.
Re: Good preview from SWC
No one is going to turn on Sonny after his first game. Chad Morris has already been pre-blamed for anything (and I mean anything) that goes wrong this season ![]() They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: Good preview from SWCReally like that preview. Our OL and defense will take massive steps forward this season.
Re: Good preview from SWCSolid preview. I agree that our biggest problem is that Quinn and Sutton aren't walking through the door - when was the last time multiple players leaving early for the NFL was an issue for us? Ever?
The Notre Dame transfer is probably the biggest question for me - we have been ATROCIOUS on kick returns and this kid seems to be a legitimate weapon in that department. If he can contribute at receiver our offense could be just as deadly as it was last year with all the other pieces coming back and the offensive minds that we have at HC and OC. It will at least be interesting, I'll say that.
Re: Good preview from SWC
I don't think the fans will turn on Sonny after one game, the problem is the games that follow: TCU MICHIGAN NAVY so yes at 0-4 some of the natives would start to get restless we need to beat the Mean Green so we can be 2-3 after five games C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Good preview from SWC
Will be interesting to see how Hicks backup performs in the Michigan game.
Re: Good preview from SWCSonny's 1st year at SMU could start with an 0-4 or 2-2 record and neither would shock me. An 0-5 start would be shocking as would a 4-1 start. This is one of those years that I am coming into without a lot of expectations. I'm just excited to see whether Sonny can finally be the guy to turn this program around in the post death penalty era, and by that I mean reaching a level where we can compete for AAC Championships and beat some of our former SWC (now Big XII) foes. Beating Houston goes without saying, but we've had more success against the Cougs than any of the other SWC schools that have been willing to play us as a non=conference opponent.
Re: Good preview from SWCMichigan isn't that good but I don't know if we have enough to win that game - at least not this fall.

Re: Good preview from SWCUhhhhh
I've got to respectfully disagree with that. I agree that Harbaugh has been over-hyped but Michigan is picked by a number of people as a top 10 team this year. Their defense is going to be top-notch and Patterson transferring there gives them the biggest missing piece they've had in some time, and that's an NFL caliber quarterback. If Sutton and Quinn had somehow stayed then I would have given us a puncher's chance, maybe more, because I would know that we could at least score on them. But unless the WR's step-up (because we aren't going to ram it down a Harbaugh-coached defense) and our defense all of a sudden knows how to stop a Big 10 rushing attack then we have no real chance, and I'm generally an optimist.
