Jamie Sackville Named To Ray Guy Award Watch List

AUGUSTA, Ga. (SMU) – Junior Jamie Sackville is one of 28 FBS candidates listed on the 2018 Ray Guy Preseason Watch List, the Augusta Sports Council announced Wednesday. The Ray Guy Award is given annually to the nation's top collegiate punter.

The Melbourne, Australia, native registered 59 punts for 2,396 yards in 2017, averaging 40.6 yards per punt and a long of 64 yards. He produced 21 punts inside the 20-yard line and seven punts of 50+ yards. Sackville is on the list for the second straight season.

The complete list of candidates will be announced Nov. 5, with semifinals (Nov. 15) and three finalists (Nov. 20) to follow. The winner will be announced live during The Home Depot College Football Awards airing on Dec. 6.
