Friday's Woo Pignic cookout on the Hill has Chad Morris getting commit from recruit considering SMU.

Linebacker Zach Zimos has gone public with his pledge to the Hogs. Zimos committed to the head coach prior to the start of Friday's Woo Pignic cookout on the Hill. The 6-4, 215-pounder chose Arkansas over Missouri, Texas Tech, Purdue, California, Boise State, Houston, UL-Monroe, SMU, Texas State, Tulsa and UTEP.

They will finish at about No. 20 or below with about 8-9 4 stars on either 247 or Rivals. It think it's been like 14 years since they've had a Top 20 Class

I'm excited to see how his recruits look here now that they should be matured and ready to play. I was surprised in the other thread say that you thought we would be significantly worse on the OL and didn't have a lot of confidence in the team this year.

I said that because in games Morris actually coached, the numbers of sacks conceded was historically very low, the yards per carry was perhaps the best in SMU history and last year's offense was the best in SMU history in several other categories. We were close to a Top 10 Offense last year under Morris-I don't see that happening this year. Here's where SMU's Offense was ranked in games he coached:

Points: 40.2 8th
Total Offense: 493.8 12th
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Our defense did a great job of getting the ball back quickly for our offense too!

Points: 35.5 112th
Total Defense: 486.7 121st

Meh. I've seen better looking houses that cost half as much.

But, but, but....Full-Tilt-Boogie SMU teams were good at 1 out of 3 phases of the game!

I think everyone knows the Chadster improved the offense, but the defense and special teams sucked.

Petrino had one that finished 16th in 2009 I think, but it turned out to be a terrible class with academic problems, arrests and transfers lol.

IΓÇÖm of the opinion that Sonny and Chad will both do a good job.

That said, if I was spending 3.8 it would definitely have some old growth trees. WTF are those scraggly 5 ft trees for that amount of money?
